Success usually comes to those who are too busy to be looking for it.
– Henry David Thoreau
I admit, saying you are “busy” tends to have a negative connotation. However, for the go-getters, dreamers, visionaries, goal-setters, game changers and money makers (takes a breath)…it is just the truth!
If you are someone that has a family, career, friends, and hobbies, you are likely also very busy. The key is to have set goals, manage a schedule of priorities, and keep pushing to reach each milestone. Inevitably, we meet well-meaning folks that give outrageous advice. To those people I say, busy-ness is a choice.
- “Slow down.”
Sometimes we need a day full of Netflix and self-care forced upon us by our loved ones. However, if we didn’t have anything on our schedule, we would be told to step it up and kick it in gear.
- “You’re a workaholic.”
True. Maybe. Some days. The point is, some of us work 15 hours a day because our manager demands it and some of us actually enjoy working.
- “I didn’t ask you to go because you’re always so busy.”
Busy people typically follow a schedule but give us the opportunity to review it and make a decision on the outing.
Keep grinding. Keep working. Stay busy!
I don’t care how busy I am – I will always make time for what’s most important to me. – Kevin Hart
